    Reclaiming PPI

After having spent the majority of my redundancy money over the last year on everything I shouldn’t have, I have been thinking of easy ways I can make more money. Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) is designed to cover the monthly repayments of your loan or credit card, if you are made unemployed, have an accident, become sick or die. If you have previously been mis-sold PPI on any of your historic or current accounts, you could be due some serious compensation. THE 90’s During my younger years, I took out every credit card, store card and loan available to me. I always liked to live life outside of my means.…

SHOPPING. I always struggle for Christmas gift ideas for my toddlers so thought I would write a blog post that includes some wonderful, yet reasonably priced, gift ideas for…

Guinot Hydradermie Lift Facial – Review

Guinot Hydradermie Lift Facial – Does it really work? As everyone may have noticed, I have been on a mission lately to take some time out for myself and I have been experimenting with the latest beauty treatments. After having two children in close succession, I naturally let my appearance slip for a while, but now I’m on a mission to get back to being me and taking care of myself. I recently tried Botox which is obviously slightly more invasive than regular beauty treatments. For anyone considering Botox, check out my recent blog post to find out all about the treatment including some before and after shots. The Guinot…

It’s okay not to be okay

IT’S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY – WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY It was December 2015. I had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first baby. Gia wasn’t due until 26th December, however, due to pregnancy complications I was booked in for an early induction on 3rd December. The date could not come quick enough. Nobody’s first birth story is ever that pleasant and mine had been a long and stressful pregnancy. From 30 wks, I had to report to hospital every 48hrs to be hooked up to machines to check that the blood flow through my placenta was okay. Basically, the worst case scenario meant that, should my blood…

24hrs in Rome – A Weekend Getaway Guide

A WEEKEND GETAWAY GUIDE TO ROME Last month we got to do a baby-free overnighter to the wonderful City of Rome. Woo to the Hoo. We were meant to travel with friends who unfortunately had to pull out at the last minute due to their daughter being sick. Although we were disappointed, we were determined to pack in as much as we possibly could. I’m incredibly lucky that I got to live and study in this beautiful City, so I’ve seen lots of the magnificent tourist attractions before, but it’s a City I always return to and which I absolutely love. I’ve decided to pull together this quick weekend getaway…

Botox – Before and After. Is it worth it?

It’s such a strange feeling when you go to raise your eyebrows and NOTHING moves, but then again I now have ZERO forehead wrinkles. Botox It seems that practically everyone you speak to lately has had some form of beauty treatment in the quest for ever eternal youth. There’s most definitely no denying, the B word is EVERYWHERE. You find yourself wondering what treatment your idols/most youthful friends have had done and you’re often scrutinising others appearances… How does she look so smooth? How can she looks so youthful? Would you have it? Why wouldn’t you have it? Have you had it? Has he/she had it? I’m convinced that reality…

    Top 5…Essential Baby Products

The Exhausted Mum’s Top 5…Essential Baby Products With so many products available on the market, trying to figure out what you need for your new bundle of joy is a bit of a minefield. I’ve put together a list (aside from all the standard products like cots/prams/clothes etc) of the things that I found super useful when my two daughters were born: 1.Breast Pump & Nipple Cream-If you’re planning on giving breastfeeding a go, then it’s a good idea to invest in an electronic breast pump. A breast pump will enable you to release some tension from your engorged breasticles, not to mention giving you a break in the long run as you’ll…
